Framed RadMaps trail map posters on a wall

How it works

One route in. A wall-worthy map out.

  1. 01

    Import or draw

Connect Strava, upload a GPX, GeoJSON or KML file up to 5 MB, draw a route on the map, or start from a place.

  2. 02

    Design the poster

Choose a style and tune the map, terrain, colors, type, labels, and the story you want to tell.

  3. 03

    Print when ready

Select a size and material. The final artwork is rendered for that exact product, then printed and shipped.

Bring the route

Use the trail data you already have.

  • Strava: connect your account and choose an activity you authorized RadMaps to read.
  • GPX, GeoJSON, or KML: upload an export from Garmin, Wahoo, Suunto, COROS, Komoot, AllTrails, Gaia GPS, Ride with GPS, or another compatible app.
  • Draw a route: place points on the map when you remember the journey but do not have a recorded track.
  • Start with a place: create a city or location poster without a route at all.

Make it yours

Edit the poster, not the memory.

  • Choose from minimalist, topographic, illustrated, watercolor, and editorial poster styles.
  • Adjust the route color and weight, terrain shading, contour lines, labels, typography, title, location, and occasion text.
  • Preview the same poster composition used for the final print.
  • Order at 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30, and 24×36 inches as archival matte posters, framed prints, wall hangings, aluminum, and acrylic.

Who it is for

A trail map poster for the route that mattered.

Most map posters show a city street grid. A RadMaps poster is built around a line: the thru-hike you finished, the loop you run every Saturday, the gravel century that nearly broke you, the trail system you helped build. The route sits on real terrain, with the contours and hillshade that explain why it was hard.

People make them for their own walls, as finisher gifts for a partner or training group, and for clubs that want one design printed for every member. If your route is already famous, check the shop first: iconic trails and marathon courses are ready to order as they are.

Questions

Custom Trail Map Posters FAQ

Can I make a poster from a GPX file?

Yes. Upload a GPX, GeoJSON or KML file up to 5 MB, then style the route and the surrounding map in the RadMaps editor.

Can RadMaps import a Strava activity?

Yes. Connect Strava through its authorization flow and choose an activity from your account. RadMaps does not make a private route public.

Do I have to pay before I design?

Designing and previewing a poster is free. You pay only when you order a physical print, and checkout currently accepts United States shipping addresses.

What sizes and materials can I order?

Every RadMaps poster uses the same 2:3 shape, printed at 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30, and 24×36 inches. Formats include archival matte posters, framed prints, wall hangings, aluminum, and acrylic; availability varies by size. The editor preview uses the same composition as the final print, so the route is not cropped or reframed after you approve it.

Can I use the poster to navigate?

No. RadMaps posters are decorative artwork made from real map data. They are not navigation tools, safety devices, or land-boundary references.
