About this print
Augusta map poster
Augusta grew up along the Savannah River, on the Georgia side of the water across from South Carolina, and the city still takes much of its shape from that riverbank. The Augusta Canal runs alongside, a reminder of the mills and industry that once powered the town, while Broad Street carries the older downtown toward the river and the Riverwalk. Beyond the center, neighborhoods spread out toward the hills and the suburbs that make up the wider city.
This print presents Augusta as a street map in the Blueprint style, a clean and technical design that suits a city with such a clear relationship between its river, its canal, and its grid. It works as a quiet piece of wall art for an office, a hallway, or a reading corner, and as a way to keep a familiar place in view. It is meant for display and enjoyment, not for finding directions.
For many people Augusta means something particular. It might be the town where they grew up, went to school, served at Fort Gordon, or started a family. For others it is tied to spring visits during the famous golf tournament week, or to the city's musical history as the hometown of James Brown. A map of the streets can hold all of those memories without spelling any of them out. The print also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who has recently moved away, or for someone who has just arrived and is starting to call Augusta home.
