About this print
Augusta map poster
Augusta sits on the Savannah River, across the water from South Carolina, and the city still carries the shape of an old river town. The Augusta Canal runs past the former mill district, Broad Street anchors downtown, and neighborhoods climb away from the riverbank toward the higher ground beyond. For many people the name brings to mind one week each spring, when the golf world arrives for the Masters. Those who know the city well remember more: James Brown's hometown, a place of porches and live oaks, long summer evenings along the river, and a downtown that has kept its character through generations of change.
This print presents Augusta's street map in the Brutalist edition, a digital design style with a bold, graphic, pared-back sensibility. It reads less like a souvenir and more like modern art that happens to be about a specific, much-loved place. It sits comfortably in a contemporary living room, a home office, or a hallway that could use something with a little weight and presence.
It makes a thoughtful gift for someone who grew up in Augusta, moved away, or recently arrived and is starting to call it home. It also suits visitors who came for the golf and left with a soft spot for the town itself. Like every RadMaps print, it is decorative art rather than a navigation aid. It offers a way to keep a city close and to mark the streets that hold a part of someone's story.
