About this print

Montgomery map poster

Montgomery is Alabama's capital, a river city set along the Alabama River and a place where much of the country's history has been argued out in its streets. It is where the bus boycott began after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, where Martin Luther King Jr. served as a young pastor, and where the march from Selma came to an end at the State Capitol. Today the city carries that history alongside everyday life in its neighborhoods, downtown blocks, riverfront, and the roads that tie them together.

This print presents Montgomery as a street map poster in the Brutalist edition, a design style with a bold, pared-back look. It treats the city's layout as shapes worth looking at on their own, which suits a home office, a hallway, or a living room that calls for something graphic but calm. It is decorative art, meant for hanging rather than for finding the way across town.

The print makes sense for someone who grew up in Montgomery, studied or worked there, or moved away and still thinks of it as home. It also fits anyone drawn to the city for its place in American civil rights history who wants a quiet reminder of it on the wall. Hung beside maps of other places that matter, it can anchor a small collection of cities with stories behind them. Each print is produced digitally, and the available options are listed on this page.

City Map Posters

RadMaps city map posters turn a place you know by heart into wall art: its streets, parks, rivers and shoreline, drawn from real map data and composed to read from across the room rather than to navigate by. The collection covers big cities and small ones, from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and London to Nashville, Seattle, Austin, Indianapolis, Siesta Key and Danville, Illinois. Each city is designed as its own print, with type and color chosen to suit that place, and Philadelphia comes in three editions: risograph, brutalist and classic. City posters make thoughtful housewarming gifts, a way to remember where you met or where you grew up, and a wall piece for anyone who has moved away from somewhere they love. Every design is printed and shipped within the United States in a range of sizes and finishes, from archival matte posters to framed prints, wall hangings, aluminum and acrylic. Don't see your city?
