About this print

Ontario map poster

Ontario sits in the Inland Empire of Southern California, in the western reaches of San Bernardino County, where the San Gabriel Mountains rise along the northern horizon. It is a city many people know first through Ontario International Airport, but those who live there or grew up nearby tend to know it differently: by the long, tree-shaded stretch of Euclid Avenue with its broad center median, by the older blocks around downtown, by the growth of newer neighborhoods spreading south over former farmland, and by the everyday routes between home, school, work and the shops at Ontario Mills.

This print renders the city's street map in the Watercolor style, a design approach built on soft, layered color and gentle edges rather than crisp lines and hard contrast. The result reads less like a diagram and more like a painting of a familiar place, with the grid and curves of the streets carrying the character of the city in a quiet, relaxed way. It suits a living room, a hallway or a home office where something warm and personal fits better than something stark.

As a gift, it works well for someone who has moved away from Ontario and misses it, for a family that just bought a house there, or for anyone who flew in and out of the airport often enough to feel some attachment to the place. It is meant purely as decorative art, a way to keep a hometown or a meaningful stop on the wall, and not as a map for finding the way around.
