Tacoma City Map Poster

About this print

Tacoma map poster

Tacoma sits on the southern reaches of Puget Sound, a working port city with Mount Rainier on the horizon and water on more than one side. It has a character all its own: brick warehouses turned into museums and university buildings, a long waterfront along Commencement Bay, and older neighborhoods of craftsman houses climbing the hills above downtown. This street map poster captures the city in the Cartouche style, a design approach that gives the map a composed, classic feel suited to a place with this much history in its grid.

The print works for people with many kinds of ties to Tacoma. Someone who grew up there might hang it as a reminder of home, while a newer resident may want something that marks the place they chose. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a student heading off after years at school in the city, a family leaving the Pacific Northwest, or a friend who still talks about Point Defiance and the Narrows. Because it shows the shape of the city rather than a single landmark, it leaves room for each person to find their own streets and memories in it.

This is decorative wall art, made to be looked at and enjoyed rather than used for finding a way around. It sits comfortably in a living room, hallway, or office, and pairs well with other city or travel prints for anyone building a wall around the places that matter to them. The available formats are listed on the page.
