About this print

Fort Worth map poster

Fort Worth has long gone by the nickname Cowtown, a nod to its years as a stop on the cattle trails and to the Stockyards, where longhorns still walk the brick streets of the historic district. The city grew up along the Trinity River, and its streets now reach out from a compact downtown toward older neighborhoods, rail corridors and the highways that connect it to the rest of North Texas. It is a city that keeps its Western roots close while also being home to the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in its Cultural District.

This print turns the street pattern of Fort Worth into wall art in the Overprint edition, one of the graphic design styles RadMaps offers. Like every RadMaps poster, it is produced digitally and made for display rather than for finding the way anywhere. The appeal is in seeing a familiar place as a pattern, the shape of a city that is usually experienced one block and one drive at a time.

It suits someone who grew up in Fort Worth and wants a piece of home on the wall after moving away, or someone who recently settled in and is still getting to know which way the river bends. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a TCU graduate, a couple marking a first home in the city, or anyone whose story runs through Cowtown. It sits comfortably in a living room, home office or entryway.
