About this print
Buffalo map poster
Buffalo sits at the eastern end of Lake Erie, where the Niagara River begins its run north toward the falls. It is a city shaped by water and trade: the Erie Canal once ended here, grain elevators still line the waterfront, and the street grid fans out from downtown in broad diagonal avenues that give Buffalo its distinctive layout. This print renders the city's streets in the Blueprint style, a clean, technical look suited to a place whose identity is so tied to engineering and architecture.
The city has long been known for its buildings. Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D. Martin House, Louis Sullivan's Guaranty Building and the Art Deco City Hall all stand here, along with a park system designed by Frederick Law Olmsted that threads green space through the neighborhoods. Add chicken wings, lake-effect snow and a fiercely loyal sports culture, and Buffalo becomes a city people tend to carry with them long after they move away.
The poster works for anyone with a connection to the place: someone who grew up on the East Side or in North Buffalo, a graduate of one of the city's universities, a family that has cheered through decades of Bills seasons, or a newcomer settling into a first home here. The Blueprint treatment keeps the focus on the shape of the city itself, which makes it easy to hang in a living room, office or hallway. It is meant as a piece of decorative art and a reminder of home, not a map for finding the way around town.
