About this print
Irving map poster
Irving sits in the heart of the Dallas–Fort Worth area, a city many people know first through its proximity to DFW International Airport and only later come to know on its own terms. This street map poster in the Cartouche style is a quiet tribute to that place: a city with its own history, grown up around highways, rail lines and the Trinity River's floodplain on its eastern edge.
For people who live there, Irving is more than a stopover. It is Las Colinas, with its office towers, Lake Carolyn and the Mandalay Canal, and the bronze Mustangs of Las Colinas galloping across Williams Square. It is the University of Dallas campus, the older neighborhoods around Heritage District, and the evening crowds at the Toyota Music Factory. For many longtime Dallas Cowboys fans, it is also the city that was home to Texas Stadium for decades. A map of Irving brings all of those memories into a single frame, whether the connection is a first apartment, a family home, a job in Las Colinas or years spent commuting along its freeways.
The Cartouche edition is one of several visual design styles RadMaps offers for city prints, so the same street grid can suit a living room, an office or a hallway gallery wall. As a gift, it works well for someone moving away from North Texas, someone who just settled in, or anyone who has called Irving home. Like every RadMaps print, it is meant as decorative art to hang and enjoy rather than a guide for getting around.
